The Taberna stands as our communal heart, encompassing the reception, cafรฉ, and restaurant under one roof. It serves as the vibrant social hub where guests gather to savor delicious meals, enjoy drinks, and foster connections. Moreover, it doubles as a versatile venue for hosting events and organizing programs.
With its inviting terrace offering panoramic views of the large swimming pool and a garden overlooking the picturesque valley, The Taberna provides an idyllic setting for relaxation and socializing. Additionally, guests can indulge in the unique experience of crafting pizzas together in the outdoor communal pizza pit, adding a flavorful touch to their stay.
Pool area and beach
Our magnificent whale-shaped pool, spanning approximately 20 x 10 meters, serves as the focal point of our village. Whether you seek to cool off during the summer heat or indulge in a refreshing dip amidst the winter chill, our salt water pool offers a welcoming oasis for all seasons.
Nestled beneath the pool, discover intimate chill areas bordering our inviting artificial beach, perfect for relaxation and socializing.

Jungle Gym
Adjacent to the beach, our outdoor gym awaits on a wooden deck. Equipped with a variety of fitness equipment including a boxing bag, yoga mats, and weights, it’s the ideal space for incorporating physical activities into your program.
We offers regular yoga and breathwork classes every week. You can check our schedule at the reception. All classes we offer are donation based. We suggest a minimal donation of 7 euro’s per person.ย

We offer a variety of different treatments and classes to make your stay extra enjoyable. Depending on the available therapists we offer massages, yoga, breath work and training sessions. You can inquire about our actual offer and book your treatments at the reception.
RESTAURANT
WEEKDAYS: During the week, we offer a healthy vegetarian breakfast buffet between 8:00 – 10:30. Our restaurant is only open for events and communal dinners, so during lunch and dinner time we encourage our guests to live as self sufficient as possible. The vegetable garden can be used by all of our guests. So please feel free to pick your own, tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, and other goodies from the garden. All studios are equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary kitchen tools, coffee, tea, olive oil, salt and pepper. But we also offer a beautiful outdoor communal kitchen at the end of the village street. We invite you to come together and socialize in this magical place. Share culinary tips, exchange life stories, and embrace the spirit of community life.
Tip: Do your groceries on the way to Freedom Ville in Castelo Branco in of the big supermarkets so you can enjoy your enjoy stay in nature without unnecessary interruptions. Small groceries can be done in the convenience stores in the local cafes. Every Friday afternoon we get a visite from the local convenience store on wheels.
WEEKENDS: On weekends we regularly host community dinners in the Taberna. We work with a team of local guest chefs to prepare a special three-course menu. The chefs have complete creative freedom to craft a surprise menu featuring the land’s harvest, blending the simplicity of country life with their unique flair. Please inquire at the reception if there are any communal dinners or events planned during your stay, so you know what we have to offer. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions when you make your reservation.
GENERAL PUBLIC: For now Freedom Ville is only open for the general public during events. But we will soon start with a weekly Tropicalismo Pool Party that will be open for everyone. The pool will also be accessible during this event for 25 euros per person. Reservations for use of the pool and the dinner will have to made in advance due to limited capacity. Hope to see you soon!

What a wonderful place to be. This summer for the 2nd time and that will certainly not be the last time. So much love and detail are in the accommodations! If you are looking for a place to relax in the beautiful nature of Portugal and want to be with nice people then this is an absolute must.
